This volume was ordered by Arcus to celebrate the meeting of their business partners. It contains the most beautiful aphorisms about books from thinkers, poets and writers from different epochs. The illustrations in this volume deals with the history of literature. We can see the image of a medieval copyist and how the fonts were molded, and how the texts were printed manually by hand press.

On the last page which is folded in accordion pleats we can see drawings of printing presses from the earliest Gutenberg’s press to the latest Kyocera’s laser printer which was being promoted at that time by Arcus.
